Submissions end 5pm this Friday 17 June 2022
There are many natural hollows that are under threat right now in Callala Bay on the South Coast of NSW. Until June 17 submissions from the public can be lodged opposing their destruction. The land is home to Greater Gliders, Yellow-Bellied Gliders, Powerful Owls and much more. So you can imagine the size and age of the hollows! The Callala Environmental Alliance provides a handy submission guide, but really all that’s needed is a paragraph as to why you think it’s a good idea to retain this habitat for wildlife. For more info and photos head to their page.
Callala Environmental Alliance
Change happens when enough people demand it. We must work together to protect our wildlife, our childrens heritage.
This constant erosion of critical habitat for our endangered wildlife cannot be seen in isolation but as a part of actions that have a cumulative effect on our native wildlife heading them even closer to extinction. This cannot be justified.
Please do what you can to make your views known. What you do is important and counts. Help us keep up the fight to save our precious Gliders and our environment.
Regards Bill.
