Hello Everyone,
I realize it has been awhile since anything about the Affirmed housing has been addressed. I wanted to share an article with all of you that was Published in the San Diego Union Tribune March 10, 2024. Winsor Point is a project that was built by the same Affirmed housing that is currently underway in Del Sur. In just the two years it has been housing residents there have been 762 calls to the Carlsbad Police Department. Calls range from drugs, domestic abuse as well as mental-health related issues. Residents are now calling for it to be closed down and relocated. They are taking their concerns and complaints to city council.
Windsor Point only has 50 units for low income households in 2 seperate buildings iht onsite management. We know that Symphony is expected to have 1-4 bedroom units and about 170 in total.
Before we end up in the same situation as Carlsbad, residents are fearful for their and their children's safety. It sounds as though the local parks and playgrounds are experiencing issues with the residents of Windsor Point. I urge you to once again reach out to our council member Marni von Wilpert at MarnivonWilpert@sandiego.gov.

Share the petition again, with those that might not of wanted to get involved or even have no problem with more low-income housing. Any potential threat of increase in crime, drugs and mental instability in our community should alarm all of us. We don't want to be where Carlsbad residents are.
