Halt the Destruction of Century-Old Trees in Richmond, TX

The Issue

As a long-time resident of Richmond, TX, I have always admired the three one-hundred-year-old trees located on FM 359 in front of Yoga on the Brazos and the surrounding businesses. These trees are more than just natural structures; they are a beautiful part of the rich history of our town. Recently, developers began cutting down these historical landmarks without notice to nearby tenants and business owners, blocking access to their businesses and without a permit to do so.

These trees have stood tall and proud for over a century, witnessing countless events and changes in our community. They provide numerous environmental benefits such as producing oxygen and reducing carbon dioxide in our atmosphere .

We cannot sit idly by while this blatant disregard for nature and historical value continues. We call upon local authorities to take immediate action against these developers and protect what remains of our town's heritage.

Please sign this petition today if you believe in preserving Richmond’s natural history and upholding respectful practices within our community.
