The Issue

My home and our community are being plagued by an environmental disaster that we've watched unfold, day by day. Our beloved Florida fish, wildlife habitats, and waterways are under constant attack by a relentless group - the very group that should be their protector, the Florida Fish and Wildlife, and their spray contractors, Applied Aquatic Management.

These entities have been actively endorsing the dumping of dangerous chemicals into our waterways. Thousands of harmful chemicals which are finding their way into our drinking water supply, wreaking havoc on our natural ecosystems, and slowly destroying the precious waterways that we use daily.

According to studies, the wide-scale use of chemical sprays in aquatic environments not only detrimentally alters the biodiversity but can cause long-term harm to humans too (source: US EPA). The risk they pose to human life – through our drinking water – is impossible to ignore. We're allowing the deliberate poisoning of our own protection, the lifeline for countless species, and a critical part of our Florida lifestyle.

We call on our government and responsible agencies to snap out of this destructive path and invigorate their dedication to sustainable aquatic management, protect our wildlife, and most importantly, keep our water clean and safe. Let's hold **Applied Aquatic Management** and **Florida Fish and Wildlife** to account. It’s not just an issue, it’s a fight for our lives and our shared home.

Your voice is vital in this fight. Please, sign the petition to halt chemical spraying and save our Florida waterways.
