I am a resident of Qrendi, a small village that prides itself on its tranquility and clean air. However, our peace is under threat due to the proposed construction of a tarmac and concrete plant within 450 meters from our homes. This is not just an issue about preserving the character of our village; it's about protecting our health.

Research has shown that living near such facilities can lead to serious health issues due to exposure to dust particles and other pollutants (Source: World Health Organization). Children, elderly people, and those with pre-existing respiratory conditions are particularly at risk. We cannot stand by while our loved ones' health is put in jeopardy.

Moreover, this plant will disrupt the peaceful atmosphere we have enjoyed for generations. The noise pollution from constant heavy machinery operation will be unbearable for local residents.

We urge the local authorities to reconsider this decision and explore alternative locations for this plant where it won't pose such direct harm to residential areas.
