Denny Blaine was saved, and future actions.

Hi! So back in early December of 2023, Seattle Parks and Recreation announced they would not be building a playground at a park. Pretty great, right?

However, organizers want to find a longer term solution for the beach. We formed a group, Friends of Denny Blaine, that will be hosting events at the beach, such as trash pickup, training in what to do when someone is behaving inappropriately towards other beach goers, native plant planting days, and more. Please stay in touch by following our instagram @savedennyblaine and signing up for our mailing list

 In partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation and in conversation with neighbors, Parks has provided a proposed code of conduct for beach goers that folks have the opportunity to give feedback on tomorrow, May 16th from 6-7pm PST at 100 Dexter Ave N. There is also a hybrid option, the link is on our Instagram in our “highlights” under the 5/16 meeting.
