Recently, Sterling Ranch submitted a letter to Douglas County in response to our concerns about the proposed 450 apartments.
The letter begins on page 144 of this document.
As they said in their CAB newsletter, "we heard you", but it's also increasingly clear that the second part of that statement is, "and we really don't care".
There is a small group session with representatives that the CAB has chosen (their original plan for the meeting at the beginning of the month) today from 3 pm-6 pm and again on Thursday.
What's even more important to put on your calendars are the upcoming planning meetings with the county. Please make time to be there, and come prepared with a three minute public comment. It cannot be stressed more that this is crutial. If you are in need of a ride, I'd be happy to coordinate some carpooling.
Here is information about the meetings from the Douglas County Planning website.
02/26 at 6:00 pm: Douglas County Planning Commission
03/13 at 2:30 pm: Board of County Commissioners
Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street in Castle Rock
Let's get out there and have our voices heard. Let's not allow our voices to be dismissed and silenced.
