Halt the Capture of Wild Horses

The Issue

As someone deeply moved by the plight of wild horses, I am compelled to raise my voice against their unjust treatment. These majestic creatures, symbols of freedom and family unity, are being rounded up and separated from their nursing mothers at an alarming rate. This practice not only disrupts the natural order but also inflicts emotional trauma on these sensitive beings.

Wild horses have roamed our lands for centuries, living in tight-knit herds that rely on each other for survival. The bond between a mare and her foal is particularly strong; separating them during nursing can lead to severe stress and health complications for both animals.

According to the American Wild Horse Campaign (AWHC), more than 7,000 wild horses were rounded up in 2020 alone. This figure represents a significant increase from previous years - a trend that shows no signs of slowing down unless we take action now.

These horses are families! They deserve to live freely as nature intended without fear of capture or separation from their loved ones. It's time we stop this nonsense and stand up for what's right.

Join me in urging our government officials to halt the capture and separation of wild nursing horses immediately. Your signature can make a difference in preserving these beautiful creatures' rights to live freely with their families where they belong - in the wild! Please sign this petition today!
