I stand before you as a resident of James City County, deeply troubled by the soon-to-be-constructed missile manufacturing facility by the Norwegian company, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace Inc. Norway's regulations on arms export prohibits the export to countries in states of war. Kongsberg, a Norwegian company, In attempt to circumnavigate this policy, is using our community and our labor to produce weaponry that fuels conflict overseas and harms the environment. 

Our representatives, Glenn Youngkin, Robb Wittman, and Craig Crenshaw, have given their support to this project, seeing it as an economic booster for our area, but at what cost does this economic gain come? We should not become the loophole that allows for the continued perpetuation of violence and war.

This call to action goes out to every citizen of James City County. Let's take a stand against allowing our home to become an accessory to overseas conflict. Sign our petition and let our voices echo in the offices of Youngkin, Wittman, and Crenshaw. Let's show them that we value peace, security, and the wellbeing of our planet over profit. We don't want your missiles. Together, let's put an end to the building of Kongsberg's missile manufacturing facility in our county.
