Halt the Approval of a Brightline Station in Stuart, Martin County

The Issue

I am a lifelong resident of Martin County, having spent 24 years in this once environmentally rich county. Our home was once filled with plentiful woods, clean water, and tranquility. But now, it is being snatched away from us by our own county leaders who are blinded by their greed.

Their latest "Bright" idea? To introduce a New Brightline Station in the already overpopulated downtown Stuart area. This decision threatens to bring an unimaginable influx of people into our quiet town of Stuart, forever changing its character and straining its Resources.

Moreover, Stuart's infrastructure may not be equipped to handle this sudden surge in population. Our roads could become congested; public services might be overwhelmed; our quality of life could drastically decline.

Our leaders should prioritize preserving the natural beauty and tranquility that makes Stuart unique rather than pursuing projects that benefit few at the expense of many.

We urge Martin County officials to reconsider their decision on approving a Brightline Station in downtown Stuart. It's time they listen to those who call this place home instead of prioritizing profit over people. Please sign this petition if you believe in preserving the integrity and environment of our beloved town.
