As residents of Gray County, we are deeply concerned about the proposed Solar Farm and Hydrogen Plant projects. These developments pose a threat to our financial security, our right to enjoy our properties without disruption, and the peace, beauty, and harmony of our lands. The negative impacts on the local environment cannot be ignored - from visual disturbances to property devaluation, noise pollution, excessive water use leading to potential contamination of our precious Ogallala Aquifer which we all depend on for water supply.

Unmanaged drainage systems from these projects also pose a significant risk to health and safety. We fear that these developments will lead to irreversible damage if left unchecked. This is not just an issue for those living near the proposed sites; it affects every resident who relies on the Ogallala Aquifer for their water supply.

We urge Gray County Commissioners to Vote No on the Tax Abatement. To  impose a moratorium on future ground solar and hydrogen plant installations until local zoning bylaws are amended to restrict such developments. We also suggest that officials add provisions that protect residents' rights against such intrusive projects.
