On September 15, 2025, at the Vancouver Park Board Committee meeting, the Board unanimously approved an amendment moved by Commissioner Jensen rejecting the portion of the Stanley Park Mobility Study which proposed two parking garages up to six stories high.
The amendment came after two speakers from the public, including Stanley Park Preservation Society Director Michael Robert Caditz, spoke in opposition to the parkades.
Stanley Park Preservation Society will be appearing before the Supreme Court of British Columbia in November 2025 to help preserve Stanley Park by block further unnecessary and destructive logging. We are in need of financial support for this legal effort. Please contribute.
