Join us for an interactive seminar. Your hosts will be the founders of Stanley Park Preservation Society. We will have a guest presenter, an arborist with certifications and experience in assessing tree risk who is intimately familiar with Stanley Park.

We will make the case that the logging operation is not justifiable, for two overall reasons:

• It was initiated improperly by staff employees without a vote by the elected commissioners of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and without public review.
• There was no elevated risk of fire or falling trees as a result of standing dead trees (snags). Rather, the logging is causing increased risk of fire and falling.
