This petition is deeply personal to us, the Esu people. Our community, consisting of 40,000 individuals who depend on farming for their livelihoods, is under threat. Our farmlands have been seized by the corrupt business mogul Alhaji Amadou Danpullo and politicians such as Mr. Amadou Aleou Wum senior divisional officer, the sub-divisional officer of Fongom with their crime syndicate including some inhumane sons and daughters of our community.

This land grabbing has resulted in a massive displacement of our people - hundreds have been forced out of their homes with nowhere to go. Worse still are the dozens who have lost their lives since 2014 due to this conflict over land rights; including our beloved king HRH Fon Albert Kum Achuo II and his wife Queen Bibiana who were tragically killed at gunpoint on March 9th 2022.

We cannot stand by while more lives are threatened daily by these corrupt individuals' actions; we must act now to prevent further bloodshed and displacement.

We call upon national authorities in Cameroon and international human rights organizations to intervene immediately in Esu's situation ongoing in Menchum Division  and North West Province Cameroon. We demand an immediate halt to this illegal land grabbing that threatens our existence as a community.  We demand an immediate halt to a forceful enthronement of a stooge to the throne of Esu just to sign off our community land.
