Dear Residents and Neighbors of El Camino Village,


It gives me great pleasure to announce that the approvals for the Vargas Developments located at 15101 Crenshaw Blvd. (Plan Number RPPL2024002390) and 15333 Crenshaw Blvd. (Plan Number RPPL2024003666) have been REVOKED by LA County Regional Planning.


According to LA County Regional Planning, Vargas Properties is permitted to submit new plans for approval. However, the state of California advised LA Regional Planning that new plans cannot exceed a density bonus of 120%, compared to the previously approved density bonuses of over 1,000%. Given the size of the lots, the maximum number of units allowed would be approximately 96, a significant reduction from the previously approved 253 or 212 units. This is a significant victory for our community.


I will continue to contact the LA County Regional Planning Department every few weeks to check if Vargas Properties has submitted new plans. My goal is to ensure we remain informed and prepared for any future developments.


I would like to thank The El Camino Village Community Watch Association, the El Camino Village residents, our neighbors in Gardena, and everyone who stood up to fight these huge developments and prevent them from destroying our community. Your dedication and hard work have made this possible.
