Thank you to everyone that has signed this petition. I started this petition as I literally had no clue what else to do after receiving my "Dear Landowner" letter from the government asking me to to provide a star rating on allowing 3 - 6 - 12 storey apartments in our suburb, with the added surprise bonus of "Catchment Areas" which drew an 800 meter circle around the station accompanied by a picture that couldn't even show us the courtesy of adding street names to it.
Fast forward 5 months, and 10 circles have become 35 circles. 35 circles that join up to form a blanket across Melbourne that does nothing to address the "affordable housing crisis", does nothing to address supporting infrastructure, schooling, health or environment.
Upon advice from MPs and community representatives I've started the only online petition parliament will accept. We are literally trying to save Melbourne. This is not just about Bayside, this is literally every Melbourne suburb you see on the train to the city, this is our home. Our suburbs. Our Voice. Our Melbourne.
