Shout out to all of us for reaching 500+ signatures! It is so inspiring to see how we've rallied together as a community to have our voices heard. Also, shout-out to whoever put flyers around Long Grove informing people to sign the petition, and more importantly, show up to the meetings. 

The person who put flyers out pointed the whole proposal was recorded at the December 12, 2023 Long Grove Village Board meeting. The link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi3Ht_qwDYA and the presentation goes from the 00:10 minute mark  to 1:30 mark. 

There's a lot of interesting discussion. You'll see on the included picture, there's a hotel, some food areas and a self-storage warehouse proposed. These sites aren't confirmed, and based on the answers QuikTrip and the developers gave, it's not clear that Long Grove will be allowed to approve what goes into those sites once this approval is given. Hopefully, Long Grove Village would have some say in the zoning, but apparently it's not a given.

Anyways, please continue to share the petition, send in your concerns to the village and plan to show up to the meetings on Oct 1 (for the Zoning board) and Sept 24 (for the Village board). As always, you do not need to be a Long Grove resident to get involved, this affects all of us!
