The Halo community is entering a major period of change, and now more than ever, Halo Fest should remain Halo Fest.

 

Halo Fest should not be replaced, absorbed, or turned into a general Xbox FanFest.

 

For more than two decades, Halo has been one of the franchises most closely associated with Xbox. Millions of players grew up playing Halo campaigns, competing in multiplayer, creating Forge maps, watching machinima, attending tournaments, reading the novels, listening to its music, and forming friendships through this universe.

 

The people who built Halo deserve recognition.

 

The fans who kept Halo alive deserve recognition.

 

And the franchise deserves an event dedicated specifically to Halo.

 

Preserving traditions like Halo Fest matters because Halo has built its own identity, culture, and community over more than two decades.

 

Do not let another piece of Halo's identity disappear.

 

Xbox FanFest can exist.

 

Halo Fest can exist too.

 

These events do not need to replace one another.

 

We are asking Xbox and Microsoft to keep Halo Fest as a dedicated celebration of the Halo franchise and its community.

 

Let Halo Fest be a place where fans can:

 

- Celebrate Halo's history and the people who created it

- Meet members of the Halo community

- See announcements and reveals about Halo's future

- Experience tournaments and competitive Halo

- Celebrate Forge creators, modders, artists, cosplayers, and content creators

- Attend panels about Halo's games, music, stories, technology, and development

- Remember the developers and teams who spent years building this franchise

- Come together as one Halo community

 

Halo is not simply another game in the Xbox catalog.

 

Halo helped build Xbox.

 

The Halo community has supported this franchise through its greatest successes and its most difficult periods. Taking away Halo Fest's identity would mean losing another part of what makes this community special.

 

This petition is not against Xbox FanFest or fans of other Xbox franchises.

 

It is about preserving something that belongs to the Halo community.

 

Whatever the future of Halo looks like, there should still be one place where Halo takes center stage.
