Joe Cocker è stato l’uomo che ha partecipato al cambiamento della musica, della storia stessa, facendo emozionare tante e tante persone con la sua interpretazione e la sua rauca voce ma calda e suggestiva che lo ha caratterizzato. Un’artista unico, se non inimitabile da nessuno. La sua caratteristica fisica lo ha reso un cantante irripetibile nel suo genere.
Ha reso immortali brani già famosi e bellissimi.
Ricordiamo You Are So Beautiful, With A Little Help From My Friends, Summer In The City e potrei citarne molti altri. E’ uno dei partecipanti alle due sessioni di Woodstock del 1969 e del 1994 dove ha dimostrato di avere grinta e passione. Molti di Noi, ricorderanno anche il suo slogan
“Joe Cocker - The Power And The Passion”. E’ incredibile come abbia accompagnato molti nostri spogliarelli e molte serate al karaoke con le indimenticabili Unchain My Heart e You Can Leave Your Hat On.
Diverse e anch’esse rese immortali grazie alla sua interpretazione unica.
Lo ricordiamo anche sul film Ufficiale & Gentiluomo con la bellissima e strappa lacrime “Up Where We Belong”. Lo ricordiamo cantare insieme a Luciano Pavarotti, insieme a James Brown e a moltissimi altri artisti a livello mondiale. Ha inciso oltre venti album in studio, in una carriera di alti e bassi, collaborando con artisti come John Lee Hooker, Peter Tosh, Eric Clapton, Eros Ramazzotti, e il suo italico allievo Zucchero nell'indimenticabile tour negli anni 80. Mi permetto di parlare a nome di tutti i fan del mondo, sappiamo che esiste materiale mai uscito su digitale o su CD, e sappiamo che ancora oggi, Joe Cocker non è stato riconosciuto presso la Hall Of Fame. Chiediamo quindi che sia riconosciuta al grande Joe Cocker la presenza e quindi l'ufficialità di essere all’interno della Hall Of Fame e richiediamo più spazio all’artista che a suo modo ha saputo dare emozioni inqualificabili e intramontabili. E’ stato creato per questo un sito internet dove i fan possono leggere e ascoltare quello che Mister Cocker ha realizzato, poiché si è sentita la necessità di uno spazio maggiore oltre a quello ufficiale che purtroppo non ripaga a pieno la maestosità dell’artista mai dimenticato Joe Cocker.
