My mother is a patient at MD Anderson Cancer Center

My mother is a diabetic, she is also on the GERD diet to reduce acid reflux due to her nausea. Her choices of diet are very limited as it is.

This petition is to raise awareness that there are many Muslim patients at MD Anderson and their dietary needs should be met.

MD Anderson has done an absolutely amazing job providing vegetarian options as well as Kosher options to their patients, however, Halal menu items are not available to their patients. This struck me by surprise as we are in Houston, Texas. 

The University of Houston serves Halal options as well as other college campuses in Texas. Halal food is everywhere, so why isn't it at MD Anderson for their patients of Islamic faith?

This petition is to raise awareness and God willing provide Halal menu items to Muslim patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center
