• Our first priority as hairdressers is the health and safety of our clients. Because of the outbreak of COVID-19, we have a social responsibility to stop touching clients.

Financial obligations are forcing many people to continue working, risking public health. The purpose of this petition is to urge the creation of a relief fund, by large hair care industry businesses who benefit from the work and sales savvy of behind the chair hairdressers, for those hair artists who need fiscal support during this global pandemic.  

Behind the chair stylists cannot do their job properly without breaking the health ordinance that has been set in place by our government.  We should not be putting our health and the patrons health at risk to pay our bills. Many hairdressers around the nation are independent contractors, and will be affected tremendously by this huge loss of income.  i’m hoping the big beauty industry will come through and support the back bone of the beauty industry, Behind the Chair Hairdressers Career Hairdressers.
