Petition updateDon't allow the Cruel Animal Circus to Perform on your LandVictory! Cruel Circus Cancelled
Derby Animal Rights
Jun 2, 2016
We like to send a massive thank you to the Wynn family who taken the decision not to allow Peter Jolly's cruel circus to perform at Hadley Farm. They just sent us the following email:
Hi
Thank you for getting in touch. We saw the petition yesterday and have been in touch with the Circus organisers.
We did contact the RSPCA a little while ago as a double check on the Circus's story when we had concerns of our own. When we spoke to them they had no recorded knowledge and no recorded abuse for the Circus animals on their records therefore we agreed to let the event go ahead.
We will be taking action on this and are cancelling the Circus event. We are mortified to hear about the conditions that the animals are being held in and the abhorrent treatment and thank you for bringing this to our attention.
This is absolutely not something that we would condone and for several years back in the 60's we used to offer a winter home to the donkeys from Blackpool beach to give them a holiday. Over the years that the family has had the farm we have re-housed, re-homed and loved animals.
We realise of course that us cancelling the event doesn't mean that the animals get re-homed and treated correctly so we are keen for you to keep us informed on your progress with the campaign.
Thank you again for bringing all of this to our attention.
Kind regards
The Wynn Family
