We demand Hackney Council stop the proposed closures of Fernbank and Hillside Children’s Centres, both of which provide affordable nursery provision for 0–4-year-olds.

We are specifically calling on Mayor Phillip Glanville and Councillor Caroline Woodley, as the Councillor responsible for Families, Early Years Parks and Play, to keep both Children’s Centres open and show their commitment to support working families, particularly lower-income families who already struggle to pay childcare costs.

We believe that more cuts may follow as budgets are squeezed further. Children’s Centres provide vital support to local families and we must speak up now and fight for them!

No Children’s Centre closures! No cuts to affordable childcare!
