I was saddened to hear that Mamie Lily Kosher Restaurant in Tunisia will be closing its doors shortly due to the changing social climate. Mamie Lily is a family owned and run restaurant that has been a staple to the Jewish and Kosher communities of Tunis for many years. This restaurant is a vestige to the once thriving ancient Jewish community in Tunisia and North Africa.

We plead to Habib Essid Prime Minster of Tunisia and Amel Karboul Minister of Tourism of Tunisia to bring Kosher Guru to Tunisia to taste, and share with the world the amazing Kosher culinary creations from this amazing establishment and share the beauty of Tunisia. We hope to document the beauty of kosher foods from Tunisia and share the love of Tunisia and its people with the entire world to see.
