The focus of this petition is to demand Department of State to streamline the security clearance and provide better tracking for administrative processing visa cases. This will only help retain capable talent contributing towards the growth of the country in areas of technology, medicine and science

At present the uncertainty of the security check process and the often time-consuming delays can cause a potential visa applicant to wait an unspecified amount of time. Meanwhile, business plans, employment opportunities, major life events and holidays can pass without the issuance of a visa. Applicants can be left in this status indefinitely with no explanation and no legal recourse. There is no one to appeal to and our lives are literally on hold. Most of us are working middle class that have struggled to make our dreams of a future together become a reality.

Some suggestions for improvement:

1.Add more staff - the department might have a backlog with the confines of resource limitations and adding more staff will help improve the turnaround 

2.Review and update of the mechanism popularly referred to as Visa Donkey Checks that are based on a “name hit” 

3.Embrace transparency and provide reasonable turnaround for additional administrative processing cases and in case there is delay share the reason for delay from the required agency 

4.Perform the security check proactively when the work petition is filed and only grant I797 for applicants who clear the required security checks

I request your immediate attention to issues and concerns troubling tons of highly contributing non-immigrants toward the growth in economy. Historically the United States of America has been a land of diversity and opportunities and it will be a loss if diversity and opportunities shrink , lets join hands and support this change
