Why this petition matters

Started by Coco Baek

H&M is the 2nd to largest fashion retailer in the world. Hundreds and possibly thousands of H&M supply chain workers are being abused every day in factories in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, and other countries. It is the company’s responsibility to make sure that it’s workers feel comfortable, but this is obviously not the case. Women are subject to horrible abuse such as slapping, hitting, and even rape.

On top of this, workers are not being paid a fair living wage in the slightest. After being forced to work overtime to the point that it is illegal, just to support their families, workers don’t even get paid the amount they deserve. In factories in Cambodia, India, and Turkey, it has been found that workers don't even make half the estimated living wage.

Imagine going to work everyday in fear that something like this would happen to you. Imagine continuously going through abuse just to provide for your family so you can survive. This cannot be allowed and needs to be stopped. Help raise awareness by signing this petition to make H&M take action.
