Ask the Kenyan High Commissioner to the UK to stop the dog meat market in Nairobi
The Issue
The Governor of Nairobi in Kenya proposes opening a dog meat market in the city, supplied by catching and cruelly slaughtering stray dogs. Animal lovers choose to go to Kenya on holiday due to their no-hunting policy but this may change their minds. If so, this proposal will surely have a serious impact on tourism and a knock-on effect on their economy and wildlife conservation which need tourist income. Eating dogs is widespread in Asia but not in Africa - yet. Kenya is a beautiful country with friendly, welcoming people willing to share their breathtaking scenery and stunning wildlife with us. They value their wildlife and the Kenyan Wildlife Service is second to none. This barbarism has no place in the 21st century, particularly in such a wonderful nation.
