CGGI Gymnastics CGGI started this petition to Gymnastics Community

On September 3rd, 2020, William & Mary made the decision to cut Women’s Gymnastics, along with 6 other varsity sports.  The university stated, “These changes will allow William & Mary to reach its goal of fielding nationally competitive programs across our entire department.”  The women’s gymnastics team had very few scholarships and raised 90% of their operating budget.

With opportunities being taken away from many women with a system that was already not complying with Title 9 laws that were brought in to play 48 years ago, it is time to FIGHT! Gymnastics opportunities are dwindling, and if we want to help the next generation of young gymnasts to experience college gymnastics, we need to stand up and fight for their opportunities.

Please sign and share this petition with anyone and everyone that loves GYMNASTICS!  We are all a part of the future of our sport and must stand next to one another during these trying times.  Email or call any of the William and Mary administrators listed below to make your voice heard.

Please show your support for collegiate gymnastics by donating to the CGGI to help us keep the opportunities alive for future generations.  Go to wcgagym.com to DONATE to the CGGI.
