Our neighborhood in Cos Cob, Greenwich, CT, is a peaceful and secure place where children play outside, neighbors enjoy morning jogs and walks with their dogs, and families leave and return from work and school. Sachem Lane is not merely a road; it's our home and our refuge. However, our tranquil street is currently under a growing threat.

Fresh Green Light, a private driving school, has been using Sachem Lane as a training ground for their lessons, turning our safe haven into a commercial driving course at all hours of the day. While this might provide this business with a convenient location, it exposes our children, residents, and pets to an unnecessary hazard, and strangers. 

The frequent presence of learner drivers disrupts the daily lives of our community members. More concerning is the heightened risk it introduces to the many children who bike, walk to school, and play along our roads. Having learner drivers navigate our streets with little to no experience is potentially dangerous for everyone involved.

As residents who pay taxes and maintain the beauty and safety of our neighborhood, we're entitled to an environment that's free from commercial exploitation. Fresh Green Light's lessons interfere with our right to a peaceful and safe residential area, causing inconvenience and danger.

We ask the authorities to intervene and put an end to Fresh Green Light's use of Sachem Lane for driving lessons. It's imperative that any action prioritizes the safety and well-being of our community over the business interests of private companies.
