The Gwyddon Valley is a beautiful and vast, untouched valley located near Abercarn.

It is a lovely place to hike and walk the dog because of its serenity, quietness and beautiful views.

However...

The Valley and surrounding mountains are plagued by antisocial illegal off road motorcross bikers who flock to the area. This has been going on for years and the valley has been turned into a cesspit of mud and noise.

Habitats of wildlife have been ruined due to the river in the valley being contaminated by oil and fuel emitted by the bikers who ride their bikes down the river.

Some paths have become muddy inaccessible streams, due to being torn up.

The noise from these bikers, that sometimes come in groups of more than ten is, HORRENDOUS!

The bike riders themselves have absolutely no respect for the location or the public, who are trying to enjoy the outdoors in peace.

They leave large quantities of litter behind and many become aggressive when being peacefully confronted.

This Valley is a place that is greatly enjoyed by locals and tourists. I speak for a great deal of people, when I say these illegal bikers have ruined the serenity of this green space to such a degree that a large amount of people no longer want to venture to the location.

Please help put a stop to this once and for all.
