Recently, this petition was created in objection to one of our ads being run on a social media platform.

On the behalf of the company, I, Himanshi Batra, Marketing Head of Guruji Astro, would want to clarify some things.

All the ads for Guruji Astro are created by a third party (a digital marketing agency) and before any ad goes out, they are supposed to be reviewed by the in-house social media marketing team. In this case, unfortunately, there was a slip-up, and this advertisement was directly uploaded by the ad agency without approval from our end.

As an organization serving the country with Astrology related services, our topmost priority is to help individuals with their problems and we understand that this ad is problematic. We are completely opposed to the idea of prenatal sex determination and female infanticide, and in no sense do we support any such activity on the application as well. Our astrologer partners have always been under strict advice to never provide consultation on this issue, and we are open to taking action against astrologers who may have violated this advice. We have also issued warnings to the individuals in our organization involved in reviewing social media advertisements.

We humbly apologize for this mistake. We want to assure you that we have now revised our internal ad approval process to ensure that no such ads will be uploaded in the future. This has been possible only because of the feedback provided by you. We thank you for correcting us.
