The advertising of live animals on Gumtree needs to be stopped . It is completely irresponsible of Gumtree to allow puppies to be advertised over the Christmas period particularly. They are not properly checking the adverts to make sure puppies are microchipped, vaccinated etc .  They also allow un-speyed bitches to be advertised and dog breeds that are particularly susceptible to abuse . For example …greyhound types that can be used for Hare Coursing etc . There is no regulation on animal welfare on this advertising platform at all . No responsible breeder or Pet owner would advertise on this site if they have any care or concern for their animals
