Since the global pandemic has shut down the whole world, we students request the colleges to run the next semester online. The more the students come together, the more will be the chances of increasing Corona cases. Ahmedabad being one of the highest hit cities in the country the University should promise and hold the whole semester online so the students who were trapped in Ahmedabad during the lockdown can go home and study from their. This is important both for the safety of the students and professors as well as their mental peace. Myself and other overseas students haven’t seen their family in almost 9 months because of the lockdown and the semester being held online will enable them to do so.
In the recent war against Corona many reputed colleges have held the classes online.

GU can do this as well because of the availability of Online conferencing platform such as ZOOM and GOOGLE MEET. Other Indian platforms could be used too. This will also ensure that the students and the professors acquire the know how and technicality of online studying which will help the students with job prospects and the professors for any such future calamity . 
Since we are all aware of the close proximity all the students have to sit during lectures it would be impossible to be safe and preventive. The students are well equipped with the required gadgets i.e. phones,NAMOtablets and laptops and so these will not be a problem either.
