Our children were illegally seized and separated on 9/26/16 into two different cities. The incident put me as their mother out on the streets for six days, in a shelter for two months, and finally we have an apartment for the children to return home to. But that isn't Guilford County's intention and never was with not a single attempt to reunify and ADOPTION as their 'second choice' on a permancy plan they tried to request of a judge to force me to sign. Risk factors for maltreatment, human trafficking, and sexual abuse stack up the longer our children remain separated and in DSS non-secure custody, ESPECIALLY with a special needs child placed in a temporary shelter for runaways with NO regards whatsoever to his special needs either at the shelter or his school.

Out of 166 children released by Guilford County, NC, in the last year:

- 0 were adopted by extended family members

- 25 were restored to their biological families

- 111 were adopted to total strangers

I need YOU to help me voice concern for the trauma our family is going through because no one through the DSS here is willing to!

- First public defender quit when I refused to stand down and just 'go with' the corruption I was pointing out.

-Present public defender thinks it is funny if they put 'take ur kids' on his knuckles and flashes them at parents in court. Out of 500 cases he boasts of this year, only 5 kids made it back to their families.

-I have never had a criminal record until I moved here to NC less than a year ago. Now I have contempt of court charges and jail time with the experience of full body chains for 'talking too long'.

-The GAL of our children has only spent a few hours with them and that does not produce a sufficient amount of representation!
