Despite our victory last year in getting the Triple Lock restored, our opponents are circling again to prevent the Triple Lock rise of around 8.5% being implemented next April. The Government has refused to damp down speculation that the Triple Lock formula will be diluted and a lower increase awarded. All this at a time when food prices are still going up by over 12% per year and with energy prices at a historic high.
