ANIMAL SANCTUARY FOR GUAM

1,053

The Issue

If you've been on Guam for more than 5 minutes you know we have a pet overpopulation problem. With an estimated 60,000 stray dogs, there just simply isn't enough homes. Shipping one dog starts at $2,000 and can go as high as $9,000.

Our one animal shelter is always at max capacity with limited resources. Our island vets are booked months out for spays and neuters.

We need a real solution for our boonies.

An animal sanctuary. A place where friendly strays who have lived their entire lives on the streets, survived car accidents, abuse, neglect and the intense elements of Guam. A safe haven where they can spend the rest of their years in peace and safety.

Animals accepted at the sanctuary would be fully vetted prior to being released on the property. Families would be able to visit to learn about animal welfare, needs and receive services and resources.

Your islands sanctuary would also be a place where everyone can learn the importance of preventative care, compassion and receive educational tools to help our next generation build a better future for Guahan.

We are looking for local artist to donate one drawing of a medicinal, edible, or endemic species of plants on Guahan. Your drawings will then be used to create a  looking book of the plants of Guahan to raise the funds for our sanctuary.

With your support we can make this a reality.
