GST FREE HANDICRAFTS

• All those families associated with handcraft directly or indirectly will be affected by 12% GST on all handicrafts.
• Government should take proactive approach to save this industry which is already struggling due to various internal and external factors.
• Handicraft sector is dying due to negligence of government to promote and support it, financially and through various schemes instead imposing taxes on it.
• There are no buyers and takers for the finished goods that weavers and other workers have made from last 3 years, the imposition of taxes will discourage them to continue with this trade and their families will be affected by the GST regime.
