Convince GrubHub, DoorDash & Uber Eats to reduce waste simply with better search options
The Issue
Food delivery has been on the rise. Unfortunately, so is the excess waste it produces. A few simple changes by the leading food delivery services to their search options could have a dramatic impact. Consider:
✅ This restaurant uses compostable packaging
✅ This restaurant does not use styrofoam
✅ This restaurant only sends plasticware & straws upon request
I would shop the hades out of these restaurants over the others.
Begin the rally cry:
Do we need 4 sporks for two meals? NO!!!!
Do we need plasticware where we're much better equipped with reusable utensils because we're eating at our homes? NO!!!
Do we need 30 packets of ketchup with every delivery? NO!!!
Do we need to consider the fossil fuels that go into making plastic and the long-term negative impact it's having on the future of our civilization? YES!!!
***********************************************************************
Let's kick off this revolution to build competition between these straw pushers, plastic peddlers and waste traffickers.
GrubHub, DoorDash & Uber Eats: which one of you will rise to the challenge to be the most sustainable Food Delivery Service? Who cares more for the people and the planet? Who can we really depend on?
