Lauren Witzke is planning on holding a rally inside of the Grotto Pizza on Pennsylvania Ave in Wilmington Delaware on October 9th at 7pm. The event on facebook says "Meet and Greet with Lauren Witzke in the back room of Grottos. Come out and hear Lauren's America First Platform, enjoy some Grottos pizza, followed by Q and A" 

While we can agree that it is ok for venues to host political candidates,  this particular candidate is representing actual hate groups and Grotto's should be ashamed to have them on their property. Lauren Witzke has openly stated that Proud Boys provide her with personal security during her rallies, and she has also shown support online for other white supremacy groups such as VDARE. Lauren Witzke is running on a political platform that is discriminatory towards many of your loyal customers, by supporting her you are showing that you do not care about these people.

Additionally, considering the number of people who will be allowed inside the restaurant for a political rally during a pandemic, this a large health concern. Keep it simple Grotto's, otherwise, you might be dealing with a boycott of your brand. Not a good idea during a tumultuous time for local businesses.
