The fishing industry is woven into the identity of Grimsby, and the Grimsby area produces perhaps the finest fish and chips in the world. Many supporters visit our town in anticipation as much of an excellent fish-and-chip meal as a decent game of football. By making fish and chips available on matchdays, Grimsby Town Football Club would:

1. celebrate the place of fish in our civic identity and pay homage to the hundreds of thousands of Grimbarians who have worked in fishing and related industries over the years

2. realise a new income stream which could make a significant difference to the finances of our struggling and heavily indebted club

3. give visitors to the ground something better to eat than hot dogs and burgers
