Fellow supporters of cocktails to-go in Michigan,

We have been working tirelessly the last two days to get commitments of support from industry trade groups with a direct line of communication to the Governor’s office and the MLCC.

I’m very happy to announce that the Michigan Spirits Association and the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association have joined the fight.  Both organizations have great working relationships with  the MLCC and State Legislature with a proven track record for getting results on causes such as ours.

Right now we are working in concert with them to form a broad coalition of support from a few other hospitality focused groups.  By the end of this week or early next week we should have a formal proposal to bring the the MLCC for review and then hopefully on to the Governor’s Desk.

This will not be an easy task, but it is our sincere hope that we can get the State to agree to a reasonable outcome for our struggling businesses.

In order for the MLCC and Governor to really take us seriously we MUST continue to grow support for our petition/letter.  This is where you come in.

Even if you have already shared, we ask that you PLEASE SHARE AGAIN.  If you have any contacts in the media, TELL YOUR STORY.   If you don’t feel comfortable with being in the public eye, send the media our way—We will talk to anyone that will listen and/or find the right people to do the talking for us.

None of our progress would be possible without your support so please,

KEEP SPREADING THE WORD.  IT’S WORKING!!!

Sincerely,

Robyn Cleveland
