As we explained in the petition, Nick Greiner has a lot of answering to do. In 2011, Premier O'Farrell appointed him to the newly formed Infrastructure NSW and he proceeded to sideline the transport experts such as Ron Christie. As Greiner was an advisor to toll road operator Transurban, the result was a foregone conclusion. NSW would spend $10 billion on the WestCONnex toll road, a figure that has now risen to $50 billion when one considers all the extensions.
