The residents of Sethlow Houses (131 Belmont ave) deal with constant elevator issues. There are 17 floors and 68 apartments with over a 1000 plus tenants. They are many elderly people who live in the building who use wheelchairs and walkers. The broken elevators force many of us to use the stairs to get to school and work. The exit is completely unsafe and unsanitary. There are plenty of broken lights, door knob and fecal matters in the exits. How is that safe to walk up and down in. We are tired of the quick fix for the elevators. We demand that are fixed properly!!
