Cats can be sold in PetSmart and Petco stores right now. You may glance at them when you shop there and maybe they look alright and somewhat happy. This however is no way to have a cat wait for a forever home. There are many rescues, humane societies, and shelters where the cats can have a regular space and more health checks. Rather than in a tiny cage where they can't move around or get any sort of exercise. These cats can be forced to stay in these cages for over 6 months at a time. If they are not sold out they could be imprisoned into these tiny cages for who knows how long. In a rescue or humane society they are moved through the system and given proper space to exercise and live properly. If not adopted out in rescues they can be given to another to see if another place will have better luck adopting out the cat. No cat in PetSmart and Petco cages should be forced into these tiny cramped space. Every cat deserves a real chance at a good home and proper space while they are looking for one. A cat should never be mistreated in this way. Selling cats in stores like these should be put to an end.
