goverment lacks on supporting our Moncton SPCA
The Issue
I recently took a trip to my local Moncton SPCA with a friend who was looking to adopt a dog. On our way into the outdoor kennels we noticed a man struggling to hold the dog he previously adopted at that SPCA location. We shrugged it off and of course went to check the adoptable dogs out. The first few dogs we checked out were well behaved when we approached their kennel, but others were a tad violent. As a person looking to adopt a dog that frightened me away a little. Don't get me wrong I'm a owner of four big German Shephards so I know how dogs can be, but if they're trained there's no problem. Our dogs are well trained and we've never had any violent outbreaks ever. I feel these dogs need help to be adopted. You can't take a dog, throw it in a kennel with some food and water and expect it to get adopted when it has behavioural issues. We are lucky we have the help from our honourable volunteers and sponsors that we do, but that's not enough. We need the help of the government to help fund training for these dogs. They want to be adopted but need to be shown how.
