Help me with a signature alittle bit about me I grew up on the Southside so it is my hometown... Since the law's have changed they bring what is called special event's into our community park which allows them to sale alcohol the past 2 year's I have had meetings and countless email's to the park's dept and staff !!! These event's they leave the park trashed and bottles laying around for my kid to step on not acceptable there staff told me these event's generate revenue for the park and community well where does it go I have been hear 34 year's and I haven't seen any upgrades for the youth in year's in that park not one upgrade to the ball fields i played on not a concession stand for the kid's i did ask why on that one they said because it doesn't fit the nature of the park !!! Alittle bit more about me the past 5 year's I have been doing a free community fireworks show for Garfield Park spent $1000s out of my pocket we also do a community easter egg hunt that takes place in Garfield park 3rd day posting this petition for 2 year's I have asked myself why has our community park never hosted a community day , or a festival or a car show im guessing because they can't generate revenue from it if I can do this for the community the park can step there game up these event's that sale alcohol you claim are family friendly that they are not . Annette harden with the special event's dept for indy park's tried to have my community easter egg hunt shut down this year she disagrees and thinks these event's that sale alcohol are family friendly sorry Annette you need to be taken off park's staff !!!
