Reinstate the right to buy and sell CBD oil in Australia

As of 1st November 2017 the Australian Government stopped the ability for Australians to access CBD oil in Australia.

I currently use CBD oil for my dog who suffers from epilepsy and have been using the oil for 4 months and she has been seizure free.  Without the oil I am afraid that the seizures will return and they may get worse.

What is CBD oil:

CBD oil is the short form of the term cannabidiol oil. Cannabidiol is a natural component of industrial cannabis or hemp. CBD oil is cannabis oil that has a significant content of cannabidiol. It is made from the flowers, leaves and stalks of hemp and not from its seeds like hemp oil.Aug 25, 2015

What is the diffence between Cannabis Oil and CBD oil.

Cannabis oil is basically the same as CBD oil, except this oil is made from marijuana strains with a high THC percentage. Cannabis oil itself often contains 50% THC and even higher up to 80%. When taken too much this oil will knock down even the most experienced cannabis user.

CBD oil is made using either hemp or cannabis. The difference is hemp is bred to be highly fibrous for industrial use and contain minimal THC to comply with law, whereas cannabis is bred for its diverse cannabinoid content.

I was purchasing my Oil from a reputable Company in Australia who imported it from the USA the oil is of high quality and whilst expensive to buy it is worth it to see my dog seizure free.

The Government has stopped me from accessing an oil that is produced for pets in fear that as humans we may use the oil for ourselves.  This oil is being used all around the world with fantastic results.

Help me petition the Government for our right to use this oil as a natural alternative to the many pharmaceutical drugs that we get prescribed whether it be for humans or pets!

Thank you.
