Extend the opt-out period for MyHealthRecord

The issue

I'm an anaesthetist living with cancer, and as both a patient and a doctor I can see the benefits of a system like MyHealthRecord. I opted in voluntarily and was enthusiastic about it's expansion. However the transition to an opt-out system has been badly handled, characterised by poor communication, technical issues & poor usability. Furthermore, numerous controversial aspects of the system are only now coming to light. A 3-month opt-out period is not long enough to fully resolve these issues. By extending it, patients, healthcare practitioners & other interested parties can have time to ask questions, look for answers, make changes where needed, & then make an informed decision. This is such an important, useful, and expensive project, that we shouldn't jeopardise it by rushing it through without due diligence.
