The good news is, Redbone will be inducted someday. I have no doubt.
In the meantime, two new books have been published about the band. The one depicted is a children's book about Pete DePoe: King Kong Pete: How a Real Drummer Boy from the Neah Bay Reservation Changed the World - completed by art students from SoCal and given to him as a gift for his pioneering efforts. It is available in paperback. The other is a revised edition of Come and Get Your Love: A Celebratory Ode to Redbone, the original of the Redbone Memoirs. The book has been reformatted, the print enlarged (I call it the "Old Fogey Edition"), and includes an Afterword by renowned Chicano artist and historian Mark Guerrero (MarkGuerrero.com).
