On June 1, 2015, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed S.B. 11, known as the "campus carry" law that will allow guns IN BUILDINGS on our campus starting Aug. 1, 2016. 

REPEAL THE LAW!

WE OPPOSE GUNS IN OUR CLASSROOMS AS A DIRECT ASSAULT ON OUR FREE SPEECH RIGHTS.

WE ALSO OPPOSE GUNS IN OUR OFFICES, DORMITORIES and JANITOR'S CLOSETS! 

NO GUNS ON CAMPUS! 

The University of Houston campus must be a safe place for people of all views and backgrounds to express their views WITHOUT FEAR.  We are University professors, staff, parents, students and supporters.
